Getting ready for Sisters Quilt Show

Getting my things ready to go to Sister's quilt show this week....I will take pics and get them on here...I also need to get some pictures done of my CQ RR and the CQ one block swap i have finished....I have to get this blog fancied up and interesting.....That's my challenge to myself...is to get with it :)

I am working on a winter time table runner ....tried to meander quilt it...and just made a mess of it ...now have to frog sew....ripit, ripit, ripit . :(

My sister Sam...will be back from Boston on Thursday...just in time to head down to Sisters and meet me there...I am taking a sewing project....making her some oriental type jammies....out of batiks....actually they could be for every day...the fabrics are gorgeous and making me some too....but i had best get hers done first....or she will have my head..... :)

HGTV COF 2010

I met with Ardy and Lisa (pegsami and headylamar) to start planning the retreat for 2010. We had a great meeting and drooled over Ardy's Fun Factory .....that's what her hubbie calls her quilting room....I would call it Ardy's Fabulous Fun Factory....She makes some awesome quilts....We really enjoyed looking at all her quilting.

She has one that is all blacks and whites...and is reversable....with a red binding...on her bed....it is so beautiful.. she does a lot of paper piecing..... she has a poinsettia wall hanging in her front room...that is done in blues.....all paper pieced....just fabulous.

I need to get some pictures posted of tablerunners i have done and various projects like bags. Til next time.. :)

The Banana Bread is fabulous....cream cheese banana bread.....yummmo....will post recipe later on if anyone wants it.

Today is almost the last day of vacation....so i need to get ironing my clothing...clean the bathrooms....DH (Jer-Bear) wants some scalloped potatoes to go with some ham that is left over....then get into the studio to sew and contemplate.....things to do with this blog.....ok gotta go for now

Beginnings

I decided I needed to have a blog....musings from the quilt studio I suppose. I need to get up there today and put it back to gether. I have been working on table runners for various gifts and swaps.

I Have also got to get things organized again..so I can get on with making Handbags again. I have a lady that wants one in Fall colors/fabrics....need to shop for that..

It's about time for the Banana Bread to come out of the oven , so i had best get off here for now and check.....sure don't want burnt banana bread
